My First Demo Reel

Summer is coming to a close and as much as I try to project a sunny demeanor as the Sunny Girl, I’m sad that it’s coming to an end. I’ve loved my internship and I think my fingers might just be bolted to the door as I’m asked to turn in my badge. I’ve really enjoyed working every day and the people have been exceptional. Well, most. A couple people at work were especially kind and they took the extra time to help me make a demo reel for auditions.

I still have a long way to go. I am especially working on the tone of my voice. I tend to have a higher pitch and I’m trying to give the pitch more depth and variation. It’s harder than you would think, believe me! I would love your suggestions if you have them. All the same, I have loved learning the step-by-step process of a story. From the writing to interviewing, to speaking and editing, there is not a part of the process that I don’t enjoy. Could this career be for me? I’m still not 100% sold because of the frequent travel, but I’m definitely tempted to keep trying.

Without further ado…

Keep shining,

The Sunny Girl, Lauren Cook
