The next two days are going to be a bit of a whirlwind so if my blogging is a little belated, that is why. I’ve been looking forward to these next two days for months now and they’ve finally arrived. No, it’s not a trip off to a foreign country, a birthday, or an anniversary—although I love all of those things—especially the traveling one. No, these next two days are special because I will be working as a runner at the GOP Debate at the Ronald Reagan Library moderated by Brian Williams.
This will be an experience filled with tremendous learning and I’m prepared for anything and everything. In the midst of the hustle and bustle of the newsroom, I hope that I will have an opportunity to hear what the candidates have to say. I’m an avid voter and I will openly say that I’m registered as moderate. It depends on the issue for me—too bad American politics don’t exactly work like that.
With this blog, I keep it pretty PG—sorry to disappoint. Not much religion, not too much mush-gush love, and politics usually gets swept under the rug. It’s not that these are unimportant topics, it’s just that with these issues can come great polarization and as happiness applies to all, I like to focus on issues that everyone can relate to on a certain level.
No matter where you draw yourself on the political line, I hope you’ll tune in at 8:00 on MSNBC for the Centennial Debate at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library. I encourage you to keep an open mind, even if you send half of your income to Obama. I see politics creating so much hatred amongst individuals and I think we should strive for the happiness that brings us together in the first place: FREEDOM.
