Yesterday we lost a legendary genius. Even though Steve Jobs may not have lived the longest life, he lived a life of amazing creativity and dedication. He is a shining example to all of us—I hope that we may all live with the same ingenuity, passion, and commitment that he had. As I sit here receiving text messages on my iPhone and I as walked home today listening to my iPod, I realized that the world has been forever changed by Steve Jobs and the thousands of people he led.
We remember Steve Jobs today and the brave face he put on for the sake of his company. I am so grateful to him for the immense happiness he has given us all. We have witnessed the beauty and clarity of Apple products, we have laughed through Pixar movies, and he has given us so much in the realm of technology that we can easily take for granted until it is taken away. Today we had something much worse taken away: a brilliant mind.
Steve Jobs gave this commencement speech at Stanford in 2005 and in his own words, I hope you will remember and give thanks for this amazing man who made our world that much more amazing.
