The Santa Stealer

Growing up, Santa was one of the most magical parts of the Christmas season. Even to this day, Miracle on 34th Street is my favorite Christmas movie and I still love making sure kids have a faith in Santa Claus. So as you can imagine, I was astounded when I saw this reporter unleashing the disheveling news that Santa Claus was not real. Her comments were crass, rude, and as someone who has interned in network news, entirely unprofessional. You never know who your audience is and being politically correct without bias—and in this case being Chris Kringle correct—is essential. Children were in fact watching the show and it led to quite a bit of unrest. I thought I’d share the original video and then her apology episode afterward. What do you think? In my opinion, this lady is full of Bah Humbug and I hope she gets a lump of coal in her stocking this year for threatening so many children’s happiness!

Do you think her comments were inappropriate? And do you think she, along with her station, handled the situation appropriately afterward? Please share your thoughts! T

What do you think? Does that suffice?
