Lauren Cook is the new face of the Millennial Generation. She’s real, honest, and relatable—exactly what young adults need as they search for practical yet meaningful advice.
An eternal optimist, Lauren is working to fight the ideas that teens are entitled, selfish, and unmotivated. In fact, she thinks they are anything but! By getting a head start on happiness now—instead of putting it off for later—Lauren is a leader for her generation as they seek fulfilling lives.
Lauren speaks regularly to young adults about finding happiness during middle school, high school and college. She has spoken to over 7,000 people and has given over 50 keynotes. She speaks about many issues: the importance of gratitude, volunteerism, setting goals, and fostering healthy relationships with family and friends. She also speaks to parents about how they can connect with their teen or young adult by offering an insider perspective of what it’s like to grow up in the 21st century.
Lauren is a recent graduate from UCLA with a double major in Communication Studies and Psychology. She traveled around the country as a National Consultant for Chi Omega sorority, visiting 25 universities and speaking with college women about gratitude, goal setting and happiness. Lauren is a former Miss Teen California and has raised over $35,000 for the American Cancer Society, a charity that she is extremely passionate about. She interned at NBC Network News, E! News, and Disney ABC Television Group during her time as a collegian. Lauren is currently working toward her Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at USC. She lives in Los Angeles.
Praise for Lauren
As President of the Saratoga/Las Gatos National Charity League Chapter, I hired Lauren to speak to our group at our mother-daughter Fall Kickoff meeting. Her presentation was the favorite of our chapter so far this year. Girls of all ages related to her and so did the moms. As a speech coach and trainer, I was so impressed with her ability to relate to everyone in the room simultaneously. She made us laugh and cry. She has a rare gift as a great communicator and is wise beyond her years. This is not a gift someone is born with. It is cultivated through dedication and determination.
Furthermore, Lauren is a person of integrity. She is honest, responsible, and one of the most hard working people I know. She follows through on commitments. She is authentic. She is thoughtful, observant, articulate and a real go-getter as well as a go-giver! If I started a company, I would hire her tomorrow. Without any reservation I whole-heartedly recommend Lauren Cook!
Mia Kettmann, President of the Saratoga/Las Gatos, California National Charity League Chapter
“From the moment I spoke to her over the telephone I knew she would impact our group with her determination for living each day with purpose, and with a smile. Lauren is an outstanding example of youth today; she is poised, polished and positive and she has the skill to engage listeners of all ages. Our group of nearly 200 was captivated from the instant Lauren reached the stage, her enthusiasm for her message is infectious – we all wanted to BE her and at the very least were determined to adopt her attitude to live our lives more fully, to appreciate all we have and do all we can do for others.

“Lauren came to our National Charity League chapter tea and was outstanding! She has inspired me to think about all of the wonderful things that are in my life. While she was presenting she interacted with the audience and it was not even close to your typical speech, it wasn’t boring or torturous, instead it was fun and upbeat! Her book as I’ve started to read is just as good. I would definitely recommend Lauren for any occasion, she has changed every day in my life and when I think of her I am happy!”
Delaney Baker, Seventh Grade Ticktocker of the Carolina Lily, North Carolina National Charity League Chapter
“From beginning to end, Lauren was inspiring and articulate! It’s difficult to find a speaker that can engage mothers and daughters, but Lauren skillfully reached both groups. The presentation on Goals, Gratitude and Giving Back was well received by our entire Membership. Days after the event our committee continued to receive thanks and compliments for including Lauren Cook as part of our event. We were all so delighted with her and highly recommend Lauren Cook, the Sunny Girl!”
Brenda Polivka, President of the Yellow Rose, Texas National Charity League Chapter
“Lauren is such a genuine mentor and role model and did a great job spending one-on-one time with the girls. I had the chance to read many of the goals that our girls wrote during her presentation and she really made a positive impact. The gratitude letters the girls wrote to their moms also brought tears to our eyes!”
Kathy Pappy, Member of the Keller, Texas National Charity League Chapter
“I learned of Lauren Cook from an NCL Chapter President who raved about Lauren speaking to her chapter. I was in the market for a dynamic speaker for our NCL Mother/Daughter meeting so I ordered her book, I read up on “The Sunny Girl” and engaged in conversations to learn more about Lauren’s sunshine. From start to finish, Lauren was prepared, professional and polished. As a presenter, Lauren’s strength is her ability to connect with the girls. Lauren’s presentation is a great mix of prepared material, engaging activities and energizing music. There’s time for people to talk and get to know each other better. It’s amazing how quickly 90 minutes passed.”
